|Coverage||Between 700g & 900g per square metre|
|Drying Time||Grindable after 16-24 hours in normal conditions
Substrate must be totally dry, free from cracks, dirt, grease, oil and floor adhesive residues. Substrates must be level and mechanically solid before application.
Cement-composition floors and chipboards can be bonded without pre-treatment using Lecol 5500.
Anhydrite-composition floors and other very absorbent, dusty or sandy substrates must be primed with diluted adhesive (1 part Lecol 5500 + 1 part Lecol K50 thinners) or with diluted dispersion primer (Wakol D3074).
It is vital to follow the manufacturer's application instructions on the container to ensure effective use of the product. Application using a trowel is recommended.
The Lecol 5500 adhesive should be stirred well before use. Apply evenly with a serrated trowel to the substrate, being careful to avoid lumps. Do not prepare more than 1 square metre of floor at a time.
Fit the parquet to the adhesive immediately for optimal adhesion. Press down well - the back of the wood must have total contact with the adhesive.
Expansion joints must be left at adjacent construction joints in the subfloor.
Wood floor sanding can take place 16-24 hours after application, under normal climate conditions.
