Rubio Monocoat FR Oil 2C is an innovative fire-retardant wood floor oiling system which, when combined with the Rubio Monocoat FR Oil Base, provides a fire-resistant oiled wood surface.

The Rubio Monocoat FR Oil 2C is a modified fire-retardant version of Rubio Monocoat's Oil Plus 2C system. The formulation of the Rubio Monocoat FR Oil System ensures no build-up of layers, does not contain flammable solvents and limits smoke development in case of fire.

Floors must be pre-treated with Rubio Monocoat FR Oil Base prior to application of Rubio Monocoat FR Oil 2C. The wood primer should be completely dry before application of the finish.


It is vital to follow the manufacturer's application instructions on the container to ensure effective use of the product. Please refer to the Rubio Monocoat FR Oil System technical data sheet for details.

Rubio Monocoat recommends applying Rubio Monocoat FR Oil 2C with a cotton cloth, brush or rubber bladed broom. Allow the product to react for 2 minutes before removing excells oil within 15 minutes of application.

The floor can be walked on after 24-36 hours.
